TWENTY TOUR NAXALS SURRENDERS BEFORE SASHASTRA SEEMA BAL IN SHIVHAR, BIHAR
New Delhi 13/02/2017 – In a function organized by Sashastra Seema Bal at Police line, Shivhar, Bihar, twenty four naxals surrendered before Shri Raj Kumar, District Magistrate, Shivhar, Shri P. N. Mishra, Superintendent of Police, Shivhar and Shri Madhukar Amitabh, Second-In-Command, 27th SSB Batallion, Jhaphan, Bihar. Surrendered Naxals pledged to shun the path of violence and reposed their faith in Indian Constitution and laws.
Surrendered Naxals were wanted in many criminals cases. Many of them had been behind bars for long time. Rambabu Sahni, Bharat Manjhi, Harendra Das, Shyambabu Sahni and Gorakh Sahni are prominent. Rambabu was involved in six naxal violence cases, Bharat in one, Harendra Das in two, Shyambabu Sahni in seven and Gorakh Sahni in four.
So far fourty five Naxals have surrendered before Sashastra Seema Bal. Sashastra Seema Bal has been playing a crucial role in curbing naxal activities in the state of Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Civic Action Programmes and active policing of the force is compelling Naxals to shun violence and join in the mainstream of the country.
