AIM AND OBJECTIVES OF MEDICAL DIRECTORATE

 

·        To provide primary and secondary health care to our jawans, officers and their families

·        Timely detection of any disease and to improve the health status

·        To implement National Health Care Policies upto the periphery / BOP  level.

·        Tertiary care level facilities through SSB empanelled hospitals

·        To provide first aid training to jawans/para-medical staff so that they are updated in the field of latest development of medical sciences.

·        To help in the process of recruitment.

·        To provide health care to the troops when so ever deployed for specific duties i.e. Election Duties, IS and ANO duties.

·        Organizing various health camps at village level under area of operation.

·        Providing health care  equipments for needy in border areas

·        Free Ambulance facility in border areas.

 

COMPOSITE HOSPITALS:-

It caters for the health care system of our jawans, officers and their families as well as provide health facilities to other CAPFs personnel/ retired personnel.

Secondary  care facility are available here alongwith well equipped Lab., facilities .  It’s 50- bedded hospital which caters health care for all formations.   SSB has three Composite Hospital located at  Gorakhpur (UP), Bathnah (Bihar), Saloniabari (Assam).  Each C.Hs is headed by Deputy Inspector General (Medical).

UNIT M. I. ROOMS  

It’s a primary 10 bedded hospital for the patient. Unit hospitals of Bns/Training Centers provides primary healthcare to our jawans, officers and their families. Normal routine OPD, Indoor, Lab. Facilities are there for patients. Referral of cases is done, if need be, to the nearest SSB empanelled hospital/Govt. hospitals.

     

 

ACHIEVEMENTS

1.   NATIONAL IMMUNIZATION PROGRAMME :- SSB  actively participating in various National Programmes such as Pulse Polio Immunization, Disaster Management in collaboration with State/Local Govt. bodies.
